An Approach to Measure the Performance and the Efficiency of Future Airport Infrastructure

The aim of this paper is to design an approach evaluate the expected efficiency and performance future airport infrastructure. First, sampling method select similar airports developed based on socioeconomic operational variables that are summarized in a proxy variable; second, ARIMA-GARCH-Bootstrap applied forecast selected outputs (PAX ATMS) whilst inputs (Cities, Gates, Runaways, Airport Size, Pax carriers, Num. employees) remain constant; third, VRS-OO CRS-OO DEA models implemented current years. proposed used infrastructure new Mexico City against 19 representative worldwide hubs. analyze multi-airport system as case study. results show requires more airside must be added by Airport, airlines should operate aircrafts with capacity serve PAX per ATM, open connections at increase system.
